Building for neo-human

The new-human is already here. A generation that grew up with technology and isn’t mesmerised by it. They ask what a product is for, what it costs them beyond the price, and whether it makes life better in any way that matters. Meaning over novelty. And the same instinct is waking up in every generation before them. This is who we build for.

How we start

How we start

Reason is and ought to be the slave of the passions

David Hume made the point three centuries ago: people are moved by feeling and habit long before reason arrives. So we don’t design for a person we’ve imagined. We sit with the trader at two in the morning, the founder who can’t explain her own tokenomics, the person sending money home who doesn’t care what a chain is. What we see there shapes the product.

A line we hold

A line we hold

Do no harm

We’ve turned down well-paid briefs that wanted engagement at any cost, and that’s when this stopped being a slogan. If a product leaves someone more anxious or less in control of their own money, it isn’t finished, whatever the dashboard says.

No dark patterns

No optimising for compulsion

No hiding the fee

Leave people more capable

The measure of a product is what it does to the human on the other side of the glass. Clearer, calmer, more in control: that’s the bar.

We call this neo-humanism, mostly because we needed a word for it

Craft

Craft

Make it work every time

A kind product that crashes under load or moves money to the wrong place is a cruel one. Our engineers sit in the research sessions and read the transcripts. Craft is what care looks like when the stakes are real.

How we work together

How we work together

Say the true thing

To each other and to clients. A group of people who are exceptional at one thing, or have spent a decade becoming good at many, doesn’t need much process. It needs trust and the freedom to say “this is a bad idea” out loud.

Our size

Our size

Grow slowly, on purpose

We hire rarely and let people work from wherever they think best. The size is a choice, not a stage.
